Default S2000 stock Vtec eng/disag point ?

Hi there,

do the gents you are know the stock values for VTEC engagement and disagagement points on a S2k? MY00

Im pretty sure its 5900 to engage and 6200 disengage on decel. I think, dont quote me on that. You should definitely hear a difference when it kicks in and the tach shows 6k so its around there obviously if you dont hear a difference above 6k you might have a problem

My MY00 engages at 6,000 RPM and disengages a little below that. The disengagement point has to be lower than the engagement point. I don't have an exact number, but disengagement is at at 5,800-5,900 RPM. It's just low enough so that you don't drop out of VTEC on the 1-2 shift.

BTW, Modirfy has a free mod that produces an indication whenever VTEC is engaged.

or your can just tap the power from the vtec solenoid and hook it up with beeper/light/underbody neon tube

it's been done since...well, since the first vtec motor rolled out from the factory

Yea, but Modifry's mod uses an existing instrument cluster light.

The reason for my question was to properly set the V-afc 2 I will install today (now when you will read this thread), as I want to keep the V-tec point stock.

nice, i hate to drill any more hole to the dash.

on my other car, the previous owner drilled and mount abunch of bs light and switches and alarm thing in the dash. (like 5-6)
