derryck , What kind of fuel management system did you get if any? Also, where did you get the turbo manifold from?

My mechanic chose an FMU with a secondary set of injectors and uses the V-AFC for some additional tuning. My mechanic is making the manifold.

derryck,

You mentioned needing a 3" exhaust. Are you talking about the piping or the tip or both? Also, if you have a Mugen or HKS exhaust already, do you still need a new exhaust if you get a turbo?

Yeah, that company, I believe, is better known as Top Fuel.

Derryck brings up an interesting point. He said $8,000 to do it right. Comptech has not "done it right". No engine management changes, obvious systemic problems (cracking brackets, drivability issues, etc.). Were you to do a Comptech system right (engine management, intercooler, etc.) then you could expect to pay closer to $7k-$8k retail.

There are some reasonable price ranges for components listed in this thread. If you wanted to do a Comptech style turbo system using a boost dependent regulator and check valves, you could easily pull it off for $5k or less. Just don't expect me to buy one :-)

S2R,
The 3" that I was referring to is the piping, none of the aftermarket exhausts for the S2000 that I know of are currently 3" diameter piping. You could use an aftermarket exhaust but there would be some restriction in the exhaust flow.

I guess holding off on an aftermarket exhaust would be good if you're going FI later on.

FYI, we have decided to go with a smaller exhaust housing as to hit full boost by 3500-4000 RPM's. The smaller exhaust housing coupled with the ceramic ball bearing turbo should make for a pretty quick spool up. As soon as we get a closer to being finished I will probably post to determine interest in a turbo kit for the S2000. I've already discussed it extensively with my mechanic and if there's enough interest, then we'll move forward.
