S2K New Car Engine Swap
Yea. Like I already have a beater car, but I really don't want to be the one to find out that the engine is crap or something else is broken in the car. Ill be checking the vin today, and on Sunday I will check the car out myself.
I think I saw this car on craigslist.
10k miles. Ehhh...it didn't look like the car only had 10k miles when I looked at pics. But we might be talking about different cars.
I think the dude was selling for like $7.5k or something. So...cheap if it actually has 10k miles. People on craigslist do random things. It may or may not be the actual chassis miles.

I would personally prefer a working, running, complete S2000 for a couple grand more.
I wouldn't want to sort thru someone's box of parts to put a car/engine together. I've done that for someone else before. It was expensive (for them) and time consuming (for me).
I'd rather buy a stock motor to swap in, if anything. People usually have reasons for abandoning a project.
I'd be leary of a 10k mile car with a new paint job and a blown motor.
But...who knows without looking at it. I don't know how mechanically versed or patient you are either.

Ive been looking into buying an s2000 for a year now and im just tired of looking for them. buying through a dealership is too expensive and people on Craigslist ask for too much.
What would you think of changing the f20c engine into a ls1 engine. I know id have to change the computer and transmission etc. I know a few people who are telling me to do that instead of getting a used f20c engine because instead of the 200 hp you get I could get around 400 with the ls1, only thing im worried about is the weight distribution as the ls1 weighs a bit more then the f20c so the balance gets ruined, or am I incorrect?
