Thumbs up S2k rebuild

ok situation
piston 3 lost compression in my f20c1
tore it apart
scarred walls
went cheap route
got another top half block(f22c1) for cheap
blocks are identical
got new piston and rings
now im trying to take the old top block off
and it will not come off
anyone know best way of doing this?
also want to order bearings but i dont know til i get that top block off
everything is on hold
anyone know if i could look at the letters/numbers on the bearing to determine which bearing i would be getting?
will post pics later
trying to finish this project up

I all the bolts for the top half of the block are through the bottom 'girdle' section. You need to remove the oil pan to get to them. The timing cover has to come off of the front, too. Once apart, you will see some markings on the block and the crankshaft that you can lookup in the shop manual to find the correct bearing sizes (Honda uses colors rather than actual measurements):

Do not take the girdle/ main bearing caps fromone block and put it on another. The main bearing bores are line bored together and you can not mix and match.
