SC and engine "hesitation" at high rpms
I have the comptech SC and recently noticed that sometimes under full throttle acceleration, when I get above 7000 or so rpm the engine hesitates/stumbles as it moves thru the higher rpms. It will get to redline OK, but it feels pretty crappy as it "stumbles" thru the last couple of thousand rpm. BTW, I have the comptech ESM, not the crappy check valve.
This problem seems to be related to heat, as I don't remember it happening when the weather was cold.
Any suggestions on what this might be? Is it the ECU pulling out timing? As the boost builds there would be more compression which would also mean hotter air going into the manifold.
I am just trying to rule out things that could be wrong, like a belt slipping or the injectors not keeping up.

I only looked at the first plug, but it looks fine, so maybe it is the map sensor. I beat on it a few times with a screwdriver, so we'll see what happens.
Your spark plugs may look fine but like you said, it only happens at higher temperatures. Maybe your plugs cant hold the heat and you need to get one step colder plugs. I had the same problem your describing when I had my OEM plugs. Knock on wood I havn't had the problem again since upgrading my plugs to NGK's. Stock No 7173 Model number R5672A-8.
