Have you heard about replacement thin sleeves made of steel ? My machinist said he has done it to many blocks for a cheap fix and works good.

Good call I would do just that if it was mine,few score is not a prob,a loose bore makes less friction and makes ^^ power..

They are a super alloy piston.made from steel alloy.
will not work with steel liner will fuse weld,needs a coating or spey linner to exept

Thanks so much for your input. I didnt realize how hard it is to rebuild these motors. I have built many B series with a lot of success but this is my first F20c. I also have some crankshaft end play but checked the thrust bearings and they are all there and never saw no copper or metal chunks in the oil pan so hopefully i get lucky lol

thrust bearing has many issues also,usa market with clutch engagement

B series like my b18c4 has little like the frn race engine like the s2k..

I have been learning a lot from this site about the s2000s. I ordered a dial indicator to measure the crankshaft end play but still going to put the motor back together and take my chances before buying a used motor. I didnt see any thrust washers in the oil pan or any metal chunks in the oil pan of bearings so i think i got lucky
