Ummmm....OEM plugs are NGK PFR7G-11S, which retail at Advance. They are probably half the price than the dealer too......

Look for yourself H and A Near the bottom, inbetween the wiper blades and the bumper clips.....

the CEL went away. if it was serious i'm sure it would stay on. i need the car to commute to work and school. i've been keeping the revs down. but Advance Auto Parts cant pull the CEL code unless the light is still on so right now i'm semi-clueless as to what is going on within my engine. i know its not good. but i cant do anything about it till i get those plugs.
Steady Lit CEL is better than a blinking CEL buddy

What does Seafoam say about your problems? Have they offered to assist you?

Everytime I've done seafoam or seen somebody do it, it all goes into the pcv valve...have never put it in my oil or gas tank...also I know when I did it on my old car(celica) It totally trashed the pcv valve which was a pretty common thing and it was a cheap fix anyway , so you might start there.

Also don't know if it was related ,but one guy did do seafoam on his 7th gen celica ,and said he hit lift getting on a freeway and saw dark smoke coming from his car....took it home found that the support arm of his CAI pulled away from the main CAI tubing leaving a 2 in. wide hole in the CAI, than proceeded to take off the CAI where he found a large amount of oil coating the inside of the throttle body and Intake.

They'd probably tell him to use more seafoam!

Exceptional logic -

Keep driving a car that has a flashing CEL
It would stay on if something serious
Keeping revs down
Knowing it's not good or what it is but what the hell
Wait until I get the plugs

You'll end up renting a car anyway when yours is at the dealership getting a new motor
