okay so picked up my plugs and filter, got my oil changed put in 10W30 full synthetic Mobil 1 (i hear its the best, we'll see) and replaced my spark plugs. after everything wow. the car is running phenominal. i think who ever said it was a misfire they were right. the car just wants to go and go and go now. we'll see i'm gonna break it in slowly dont wanna blow shit up after spending over a 100 dollars just to replace the little things. yeah definitly gonna buy my plugs if i need them again on Hondaacessories.com or how ever you spell it. they sold for the same price at the dealer and at advanced auto parts. but heres a few pictures of my old plugs. =(

glad to see you found the problem.

The dealer here wants 25 for a spark plug.

Advanced/Discount wants a little over 10.

I'm glad your car is okay but shouldn't those plugs look pratically new after a Seafoam treatment. It says it's supposed to remove carbon deposits.

That look is pretty typical after a seafoam treatment. I always keep an extra set of plugs just for doing seafoam. I put them in before doing sucking a 1/3 can into the disconnected brake booster hose. The carbon deposits in the engine are gone after a typical treatment. The plugs, not so much.

yeah well the car runs great...kinda

i dont know which cylinder that is from they all look identical to that one up close.

but i dont know if i should start a new thread but i got another blinking CEL today when taking it into vtec. like the last time it went away. i dont have the money to pay honda to tear down my engine to find out whats wrong and i cant pull the code since the light is gone. i'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas why i'm throwing a CEL and its going away. only in vtec

you don't have the money to tear it down...

you definitely will not have to money to fix it when your motor blows.

it costs 600 to pull you head...and maybe another 400-700 to repair/replace the internals.

i feel sorry for you man...having to have to drive with a blinking CEL....

well the light dont flash all the time not even all the time in vtec its like every now and then.

i'm thinking of just trading it in for either a different s2000 ap1 or ap2 or a sti. i owe around 10k on it and its worth 13-16. so i can make some money off of it. idk i just dont have the money to fix it.
