time to check the shifter bushings. did you change your clutch fluid ? you can just gravity bleed it as well. if youve never changed it, that fluid is probably black and well over due.

I haven't gravity bled my clutch fluid but I have done the turkey baster technique on the reservoir.

Another piece of advice that was given by Billman was to rev to about 5k RPM before shifting. I rev to 4,500 RMP gradually before shifting from 1st to 2nd, and the crunch is significantly reduce or not even there; there is a slight notchiness but goes away aft 15 min or 10 miles of driving. Good luck!

I've read the same thing and follow that logic now. He basically said you need to shift faster and at higher RPM. I shift at 5k quickly and smoothly, and the notchiness/crunch is gone.

Does that also apply for AP2? Worst case scenario, I hope it isn't that rusted spline situation I've stumbled upon in this forum.

works for me and I drive a 2007. I also adjusted my clutch play recently and I think that helped a bunch too.

It's my understanding that it's supposed to feel somewhat notchy, since there's no linkage or cables to dampen the feeling of the shifter/gearbox.
