Default The Shakes

OK...looks like after 63k miles and lowering last month, my car has picked up the shakes.

After using the horrible search engine (when are we going to get our decent search engine back), I read 25+ pages of posts (one 15 pager).

Could not really determine the consensus...is it to simply swap driver side for passenger? Replace both inner CVs? Replace the whole left/right driveshaft? Replace with these:

Should I get spacers if I stay with the stock CVs? Are the 7.5mm Motorklasse long enough or are the 10mm J's the right size?

Definitely not a bent rim. Don't think it is wheel balance since the vibration only happens on acceleration and is worse when turning + accel (on ramp). Unbalance wheel vibration would be speed dependent but constant.

hey bro , i have the exact same problem a couple of months back , all i did was swap the CV housing from left to right and the problem instantly went away . Over time the CV housing had "pitted" and hence the vibration starting . I got my mechanic to do it , job took about 30mins to swap them from left to right .

if you need pics , on what part to swap let me know and i'll see if i can post them up for you

But when you get brand new axles don't you get brand new CV Joints? I am soo uneducated about our rear-ends of our cars...

You can buy the whole axle, which comes with both inner and outer CV. OR, you can buy just the inner CV, since that is the part that tends to go bad on and S2k. But there are other short comings to our axles, which may be fixed by the aftermarket set.
