Default Shift Into 2nd *thunk*

Anyone else have an issue where they get a half-crunch/half-thunk when shifting into 2nd after a cold start? This only happens to mine when its cold, and there's a slight (one second) delay after I shift from 1st to 2nd and let out the clutch for the sound to occur. Does not happen until I let out the clutch too, and goes away completely after the first 1-2 shift.

What could this be? Car has 18k miles all over, never had any tranny work or mods done.

Our transmissions are clunky when cold. It's is common and will be smoother once the fluid warms up.

The noise you hear a second later is probably the ABS system doing check. Have the same noise on my Honda Odyssey, and will occur when I drive off within the first few seconds of starting the engine.
