There is another cheap alternative available here: http://harlan.sketchy.net/store/store.html

I have one of these that I bought a long time ago (back when they were only $30) and I plan on using the electronics to turn on a single LED mounted on the A-pilar. I figure that it would still be effective while giving a nice clean look instead of having a big shift light on the dash.

I have a good shiftlight I am itching to install but where do you get the RPM sensor at? I am soo used to older Chevy's and a good mechanic, put me in my Honda and I have little clue..... all too sad.

Seriously The help I asked before said there is a RPM wire per cylinder... and if I wanted it to work I needed a Diode or a shiftlight meant for a single cylinder engine. I was hoping he missed something, if anyone had a link or maybe knew where I could get good install advice on that.

There is an rpm signal that can be tapped from a wire running just behind the passenger dash panel. It's been a while since I've done this mod but if you search out a member by the name of "Modifry" and then go to his website, you will find instructions on how to install his shift beeper/light module. This will tell you how and where to find this wire.

I've got the Axas (charcoal with 4xred lights).

It's good for a simple, cheap plug and play unit. However, since it's connected to the power outlet instead of the RPM lead it's not as accurate.

I've hit redline a few times before the unit warn

The leads are not long enough to allow you to put the control unit in the glove box and the display on the dash.

If I was in the state and have more times to do some wiring, I would go with the Modifry beep shift unit.

Just my 0.02 contribution

I found that I had much too much to do on the track to find time to look the dash or even notice lights. I opted for an audio signal and suggest you look at what Modifry has to offer.

Anyone want to buy my Pivot Pro Sequential Shift light? It's still new in box and never installed.

It has the three red LED's that you can set for different RPM's.

PM me if interested and sorry to hijack this thread.
