Default ? - Shift points w/Mugen setup

I'm assuming with the Mugen Header and Exhaust, the shift points (RMP) will change ... am I thinking correctly? If so, has anyone figured it out ... from the feel of the car, I want to say about 8400 - 8500?

Thanks
- J

Apparently, if you only have the header on your car, you should shift earlier, around 8500RPM. If you have the intake and exhaust, they work to restore the peak power, and you can shift at redline again.

Mid-range torque gains from the Mugen header are not sufficient to outweigh the gear-ratio penalty of short-shifting. Run it to redline for maximum acceleration.

OK - Thanks ... I thought I had read something some time ago about this topic - I most likely misunderstood it.

Thanks

You short shift because power decreases faster after peak with only the Mugen header.
