Default Is shifter supposed to shake?

At about 60mph I notice that my gear shifter appeard to wobble on its own.
Is this normal? It happens at other speeds and in various gears.
Nothing major just noticeable.

Any ideas?

yep.. it's normal.

if it really bothers you a lot, you can fit an engine damper unit - like the J's one. It removes some of the wobble.

It will shake some. One time (after I got car repaired following a big crash) I thought mine was shaking too much, so I looked under the car. I found a broken motor mount.

btw how did you tell your mounts were busted?

were they lekaing fluid? or was it sever cracking? Im wondering because i feel that there is a bit of excessive shaking at various times in my car. It often happens at a regular 2k takeoff.

It was visually obvious. One was crushed, the other wasn't.

This was after a REALLY big hit, keep in mind. The car was nearly totalled.
