i was driving the other day trying to keep up with my friends boosted hatch. after running the car hard it shifts a lot harder i check my diff fluid and its fine thinking i may have broke somthing. theres no grinding sounds but i dont want to hurt any thing more.

 

Check the level of fluid in your transmission. While you're at it, you may want to change it out with some new Honda MTF or fluid of your choosing.

 

cool i got a few quatrs of honda MTF i figured that might be it. im worried it might be a clutch issue or my syncros

 

so if my clutch was screwed would it act the same way?

 

I doubt anyone can really answer you since you have given no explanation of what "shifts hard" means. Do you mean that it is difficult to put into gear? Does it catch or does it just require a lot of effort? Does it do whatever it does when sitting still and rowing through the gears?

 

It could shift hard b/c your clutch fluid level is down. Check it. Or your throw-out bearing is going bad, so it's not disengaging the clutch completely, thus making it 'notchy', rough.
