Default Shifting issues since track....

It was the worst run of the night..... I Grinded into 2nd and fuel cut 3rd....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSSZZsIl9nc If you watch in High Quality you can hear the 2nd shift with grinding EEEEK !!!!

So ever since that run I have been having rough shifts 1st>2nd and similar but not as bad 2nd>3rd.

Worst of all now, if I shift at high revs 1st in to 2nd It's almost impossible to do it with out that similar grind now. 1st to 2nd shift at 6k and above sounds and feels just like the one at the track.

I hope fluid change will bring her back to normal.

Edit: I have been having issues with sqeeky clutch pedal, I wounder if my clutch is not engaging all the way or some.

If the clutch is not disengaging properly, it can affect the shift, especially going from 1 to 2. Make sure the clutch hydraulic system is bled properly and the fluid is in good shape. Another concern may be a worn clutch disk. Changing the transmission fluid may help as well.

I had an issue like this once. It was a long drive from west palm to jacksonville (6 hr) lots of 6th gear driving. felt akward when i had to shift again. in doing so, I stupidly missed 5th and grinded a bit. It didnt sound major but for a few days afterwards, I had a hard time getting in and out of 5th gear. The problem went away after a week or so of correct shifting Problem never came back and 5th feels smooth as stock.

i can imagine if your synchro's are damaged, this would be the symptoms...

Everytime you grind your gears it damages the syncros. Sounds like they are damaged enough to where you will always grind into gears now. Time for a rebuild or live with it.
