Default Shifting is rough and notchy

I recently had to replace my master cylinder because it was shot. I also just changed the tranny fluid with honda mtf. Shifts still seemed kind of notchy which i noticed a little before i replaced the master cylinder and i thought it would fix it. Gave it some time and it felt the same maybe slightly better. I then took apart my entire shifter and regreased everything all the way down. That didnt help much either. I know the shifting in the s2000 is notoriously notchy but lately ive been feeling like it sometimes gets stuck before i push it into gear or like i feel the synchros. almost like a not warmed up feeling but all the time. I cant tell if something is wrong or if it is just one of those things that once you notice you never stop thinking about it lol. No ridiculously long shifter either, just a short sunk ball.

You could replace the shifter bushings part numbers:

54110S2A003
54111S2A003

The plastic degrades over time and it is a cheap option to check before.

Same here. Ive done everything I can think of short of throwing money to the wind replacing a non leaking master and slave cylinder. I have the clutch pedal free play adjusted properly for max clutch disengagement. My trans just doesn't like to be rushed, and will grind into 2nd gear on occasion. Last time at the track the trans started locking me out of gear when getting hot/mid day. I use Amsoil MTF. Normal street driving the trans overall still feels pretty good, but as mentioned is feels like its not quite getting a cleared syncro shift. Feels like it hangs up slightly so doesn't want to be rushed. Its kind of a bummer.

yeah. Mine never grinds but i do see what youre saying about the synchros. Feels like they cant catch up. At high rpms it shifts like butter so im wondering if its just something i noticed and now its just there

Mine is a little hard to get into first when I first start her up. I can easily go into second or any other gear, including reverse, and then it'll go into 1st easy, but if I go direct to 1st it fights me. The odd thing is once I drive 2 or 3 blocks it's fine again, and it goes into 1st with no issues. Aside from that, there's no grinds, and it shifts like butter save for a little notchiness into 2nd, I can rip through the gears no problem in VTEC till the cows come home.

Back on topic to OP when you bled your clutch line did you disconnect the slave and point the bleeder straight up while you gravity bled?
