Should the breakin be hard or easy on the s2k
The old racing trick followed by many top tuners is to break in hard as the cylinder wall crosshatch gives you one shot at wearin in the rings properly before the friction goes away. i'm not advocating going over 6k for the first 600 miles but winding the hell out of it up to 6k and stomping the pedal to get there. Is there something i should know about these cylinder walls, rings or pistons before i let her rip?

Exactly what I did.
Hard up to 6000rpm not 5500rpm and dyno'ed my car at 1100 miles. It made 204hp and 137tq.
Now after 7500 miles and some mods (header and intake) my car puts down 208hp and 144tq.
Maybe you just have a strong engine?
Im sure there are others out there with rwhp in the 200's without mods, that have not gone through "Hard Break-in"
doenst SEV have a strong engine too?...I wonder if he did the same thing?
Now u make me wanna get my car dyno'd
