Default silencers??

i just got my invidia exhaust and i like the way they sound with the silencers in. Does this affect my hp gains, does it totally defeat the purpose of putting this on?
Thanks in advance.

It more than defeats the purpose.

How so? Do we even get 10 hp from this exhaust? I love them for the sound, weight reduction and looks anyway.

The silencers on the Invidia Exhaust system are straight though and will not affect the overall performance of the system.

Any HP gains seen by replacing the oe system by Invidia will only be infinitesimally diminished by the silencers.

defeat the purpose of putting this on?
We did save about 35+ pounds

A friend of mine installed a full titanium JIC single, then went to the dyno. Without the silencer, he gained 1 or 2 rwhp over his stock exhaust, but when he put the silencer in (standard straight through pipe) he lost 13 rwhp.
