A Single Click Noise From Rear
Today I was at a drive-thru and noticed a single click noise coming from the rear when braking and the car comes to a stop. It doesn't happen all the time but I can reproduce the sound. Anyone have any ideas?

Try and tighten your rear axle nuts.

Have you ever found the problem? I have a feeling i have similar clicking noise but i think mine is at the front. Its actually more like clunking noise.
It happens only at low speed and not everytime. I checked my front end, everything is tight.

My Rear diff has some play which causes an initial click/light clunk from a stop. I believe the technical term is backlash? Its basically play in the ring gear. that may be the sound you have. You can try changing the fluid it may help

I rechecked, i hear a pretty loud single clunk when i have steering cranked to the left going from a stand still to a stop. Doesn't matter if i reverse or go forward. You hear the clunk right before the stop.
I opened the door trying to listen where it's coming from and its possible coming from the middle of the car. I can't confirm that for sure yet. Someone else has to listen while i do it.
It's not the diff, i know what clunk diff makes when i put it in first or reverse. The fluid is fresh.
