Default slight miss i cannot figure out

Well the other day I woke up like any other day and my car was missing and sputtering. Got it into the garage and figure its time to check the plugs and valve adjustment. Spark plug tube seals were bad and each tube had around 1.5-2 inches of oil in it. Ordered new tube seals and vc gasket set and new OEM NGK plugs.

While I had it apart I did a valve adjustment and put everything to the tight end of spec.
Put the plugs to 40thou since they were at 43-46thou each.put the car back together after cleaning the oil out of the coil packs pretty darn good and the car started and idled fine. And before I left the garage something said let it warm up and then rev and hold 3k to simulate driving rpm......

The motor itself sounds fine but the exhaust note says different. It has a slight gurgle like a Subaru .it'll sound fine and then a little backfire.pop.or whatever nothing loud or huge just pops.like when you have a fart can and let off the gas it'll pop a bit.

Am I missing something? Where should I start looking.I also poured in some redline fuel system cleaner once I got it into the garage.the fuel pump is only a few months old.car was running fine and then bam good morning fail.

Thanks in advance

If the car runs fine while driving, and only misses as idle, you may have bent/burnt valves.

A proper leakdown test will tell the whole story.

And if who ever does the leakdown test cannot answer WHERE THE LEAK IS GOING, don't bother.

Every leakdown test I've seen on s2ki has percentages of leak, and no info on where the leak is going. Defeats the purpose 100%.

I'll try and rent the tool to do a leak down on it and get back to you.the car now idles fine at idle no miss.

The random miss/gurgle from the exhaust only comes while at 2500-3000 rpm.revved and held while in the garage.

The idle miss was fixed when I got all the gobs of oil out of the tube plugs.

Anything else I should do while in the garage today besides leakdown and rechecking my valve adjustments?

Throw some new spark plugs in while you have them out

Another set of new plugs?? The set was a year old to the day when the miss happened first and I've already put in new plugs when I did the tube seals.they're like a week old
