Remove all interior trim (yes I was paying attention, keep reading) drill as much metal out as you can from NON-LOAD-BEARING areas, reinstall trim. Look towards the Opera Performance s2000 build up.

check bulletproof automotive. i believe they sell a lightened rear subframe. someone from there does post on this website. should be able to get the specs from him. also to shave weight, rip out the soft top, and the motor and wiring that goes with it, and install a carbon fiber hardtop. also ripping out the a/c is great too. I dont use mine, but wont rip it out until my car is paid off.

cutting down on rotational mass is important. they do make a belt that deleted the a/c, which will be one less thing the motor has to turn.

gut the trunk, even if you save all the things you rip out, gut it. go with a single sided exhaust with a titanium muffler. i think the veilside set up will help you lose like 40-45 lbs off the car. other companies make lightweight exhaust.

carbon fiber hood and trunk will shed weight. there are light driveshafts and axles, I believe made by spoon.

i added links to some stuff, including lighter replacements for the windscrren and door screens.
