ive noticed the passed couple of days that my ap1 seems sluggish till vtec, and that my car acts like it wants to bog out if i touch the gas and let off with the clutch in. any ideas if the two are related. i figure the second problem with the bog could just be a necassary iac valve cleaning, not a 100% but i am guessing. But could that be why my car seems sluggish too? any help would be great, thanks , keith

 

map sensor whack needed?? just a guess

 

hmm, my car had the exact same problem, but it was for a knock sensor. Any codes for that?

 

i experienced that last summer. i did the map sensor whack, but it persisted. it was especially noticeable when the A/C was on. i put on a CAI, and so far this summer, i haven't experienced any heat bog.

 

are you talking about heat soak?

Sounds sort of normal to me lol Our cars are slow as hell before vtec.

But it could just be your not giving it enough gas. Try tightening your throttle cable if need be. Wont hurt to try the map whack too.

 

what exactly is heat soak. i did notice yesterday that it is alot worse if the ac is running, ( i know its not right to have the top up in the middle of the summer but it was so damn hot yesterday i couldnt take it anymore) anyway, ill give it a map whack to see if that helps
