Initially, when I bought the car, the axle nuts had not been torqued. Recently, as in yesterday, I bought new axle nuts from Honda, and torqued them to 230lb/ft. I thought that would make the notorious "click" go away, which it did not.

Itr feels as it there's a small bit of give from the motor before harder acceleration, almost like a mount is loose, perhaps squishy or something.

Any ideas?

 

You could have a bad engine mount, a loose engine mount, loose/bad transmission mount, or a number of other things. Have you checked the engine/trans mounts?

 

Nothing like a throttle cable being loose right? If not could be worn engine mounts like stated above.

 

I'm thinking it may be the mounts, somewhere in the driveline. Looks like I need to get under the car then? I haven't checked any of the mounts, yet.

Not the throttle cable, I checked over that as well.
