Default small chip on camshaft lobe

I was doing a valve adjustment on my car today and noticed a small chip off the edge of a camhshaft lobe on the intake side. Not sure what might have caused this. Is it ok to run the car with this chip? Car seems to be running normally, didn't notice or hear anything out of the ordinary. Has anybody else noticed any imperfections on their factory camshafts at all?

I will bet it has been that way since it left the factory. Che k to see if there is any marks on the roller that it would have contacted. If there is not, don't worry about it.

If it's not an area of contact with the roller, don't even worry about it.

I completely agree. That is the point of my questions.

I agree as well except I don't see where you asked any questions. You only made pertinent statements.

I agree. You are correct, I did not ask a question. Been a long week, it was nap time just after I last posted
