smog check and exhaust question
hi guys,
my name's jon. I currently own a 2000 accord and i have to get a smog check to renew my Ca license and registration. I have a 5zigen Axle Back fireball exhaust and am a little concerned about emissions. Will i pass the smog check?
On top of that, i recently took my car into the dealership for a 'check engine light'. They diagnosed my car (65 bucks .. personally why do we have to pay for them trying to solve the problem.. it's their product. they should take care of it for free. ) with a faulty PCM that has caused my O2 sensor to fail. The service guy mentioned that in 2-4 months, my catalytic converter will be damaged. Is there any truth to his diagnosis?
Also, with aftermarket cat-back exhausts, how do you guys pass smog checks? especially with amuse r1000?
i only ask that last question, as i do plan to own an s2k some day. And although the temptation is high to s/c or go straight n/a, i'm still concerned with how well that will affect my smog checks among others.
Thanks for your time, your insight is always appreciated.
