So basically, i own two hondas, and they both do it. My integra did it bad until i started using Lucas Synthetic oil stabilizer and valvoline syn power in it 10w30 @ every oil change interval. i havent seen it do it since.

-My s2000 seems to be a little tricky. I just put a new exhaust on last week, but it did it before. I get on the interstate at night and punch it to merge in, i can see a decent cloud of smoke in the headlights behind me. Now if i do it during the day i cant see the cloud, or it doesnt seem to do it. This has happened from cold mornings, to the car has been driven for 30 min. It only happens in vtec.

MODS: Berk Ceramic Coated Header, Invidia Test Pipe, HKS 75mm Single, K&N FIPK.

My local dealership said valve seals could be the culprit, but i was looking for a little more input? i searched around but nothing much useful.
I have new seals, springs, and retainers to put in, but i plan to change oil & same time i do those, but i am unsure if i should try just that, or go ahead and add lucas stabilizer to see if it works.

I would say it happens in 90% of Hondas when VVVVVVVVVVTTTTTTTTEEEEEECCCCCCCCCCCC kicks in. Mine does it and the engine is just dandy.

 

mine does the same thing with hfc and fujitsubo exhaust. Not sure if its a problem or not. I use castrol edge 10w-30

 

Ill see after my valve seal change. Hopefully, ot will be better. If not ill try lucas stabil. That doesnt work ill try the edge series oils... hear good things. Currently use Valvoline syn power 10w30
