Default Soft top install!

Hey guys i'm in the middle of doing this so please give me feedback asap.

I'm at the stage where I'm putting the rear soft top back in place (the plastic rain guard thing and metal brackets)

Do these rear straps attach before the plastic? In between plastic and metal holders? Or after metal holders against the nuts?

I also purchased modifry straps:

Does the rear of strap attach like this without looping (as above)

or like below where it loops around once?

If it loops it is very tight and the strap stretches a fair amount. If it doesn't loop there is a LITTLE tension in the strap and it stretches a little bit

THANK YOU

Rear strap attached AFTER top and rain rail, before metal bracket.

Loop the modifry strap. It should have a lot of tension to pull back the bar.

Yes, one stud back from the front. so you are correct.

Rainrail, then strap, then metal retainer.

Put the middle back retainer in first. If you put the two sides first, the middle wont fit

The ends of the railrail go into those black drain buckets. look inside them with a light, many times you will find debris that plug them up and keep them from draining. Leaves, acorns, etc.

The metal brackets go on top of the plastic. Not inside right?

On top.

So, it would be Car Body - plastic Rain Rail (tall side outside, short side inside) - Straps - Metal brackets (top/sides, and Billman's right...back FIRST ).

My DIY has plenty of pics...

This pic has what it looks like, OEM from Honda

This image is terrible, but this still has the rain rail...strap is "above" it.

Great thanks. Now I'm stumped on how to get the pieces of soft top into the "bows". I have an EZ ON top (f-ing ironic name), near the glass rear window there are to pieces of material that join together by velcro, and another piece towards the front windshield that is by itself. I know these pieces belong in the bows but DO NOT know how the hell to get them in there
