Is this a plastic to glass window conversion or simply a replacement?

The most rearward bow should be exposed.

The flaps that are joined together by velcro go into the slot on the next most rearward bar. Wrap it towards the front ad inside, then close the slot.

The other flap attaches to the other bow the same way.

It'll be a pain to install the top where the sides are folded in (the ones closest to the rear part of the windows.

Just a replacement. No conversion. I figured out the bows but now the tension cable is confusing me lol. I'm so close, how do I attach the front of the soft top to the front on the frame, glue?

I'm tired and pissed off, my hands are throbbing, cut and bleeding. I finally have the bows situated, now I'm having a hard time with the tension cable and the part you said above. I have no idea how i'm going to finish this project!

Lol get some rest and take your time.

The top's front corners are folded in, use contact cement (follow the instructions on the bottle; apply the glue to both sides, let it sit for 5-10mins then fold them in)

Just pull in the corners to get the top to fold in closest to the rear part of the window. Takes a considerable amount of force and some massaging of the top itself.

Tensions cables shouldnt be too hard. Get some rest on your fingers if you can't get it done, trying to force it in while your fingers are cramping up won't work. Don't hope to get lucky.

Did you buy from ebay user hindsightseeing? Send him a message on ebay. He has a link to the actual video of how to install a top on an s2000. It's password protected and i'm not able to access it anymore either.

Get some rest, plan your attack.

You haven't even gotten to putting the rear tray back on yet. That's another area of frustration for most people replacing their s2000 top for the first time.

I figure the panels will be easy, just putting on what i took off. As soon as the actual top and molding is on I'll feel at ease. We'll see if my mind changes later, but as of now I wish I paid the $500 to have someone else deal with this.

What problem are you having with the cables? If the job is done with the frame half folded, cables are a non-issue. One end is riviterd the other is screwed with a #3 philips screw.

The rivets aren't a huge issue I just forget if they come go from the inside out of the loop or vice versa.

I can't get those brackets to fit at all (where the 2 screws go near the bottom of the window)I think an OEM top would have aligned much better

So as you can see from the picture I took the cable and went from the outside in... is that correct?
