Default soft top removal

Honda has instructions for installing the hard top, and that was great, but now I'm thinking about removing the soft top. I can't imagine Honda gives official instructions for that.

Has anyone made or seen a set of instructions or even just a good summary? Thanks.

It really pays to purchase the manual for this type of work.

Which manual is that? Just the general S2000 maintenance manual from Honda?

The Helms Manual is great and I know its cheaper than the actual Service Manual from Honda.
Both will basically have the same information.
IMO, I would go the Honda Manual (mostly because im used to the layouts, i see them daily)

Interesting. My Helm manual(s) say(s) "2001 Service Manual Published by Honda Motor Co. Ltd.". Helm is just the distributor. The Helm manual also has a Honda Part Number and is used by my local dealer. As for your question there are three manuals for the S2000:
1) Service Manual
2) Body Repair Manual
3) Electrical Troubleshooting Manual.
Soft Top replacemnet is very well detailed in the "Service Manual:

Excellent, thank you very much.

Sorry for the remedial questions; I just had no idea where to even start.

My manual is for an '01 and the part number is 61S2A01. It won't say Helm anywhere on it as it is an official Honda Manual. Helm just distributes them for Honda, both internally and externally.

Someone had the complete manual on a CD, think someone scanned the whole manual. Its 26+ MB file, i just print whatever is required whenever. Let me know if anyone needs it.

Thanks for the laugh.

In answer to the question, the actual service manual from Honda (sold by Helm) gives all the details necessary for removing the softtop. I was able to do everything myself except actually lift it out of the car. You need a helper for that.
