Default soft top removal advice

My soft top is now out and it is time to put my car back together.

When people do this, how do they normally deal with the black corner hinge section of the soft top frame that is now missing? If I just left it out then my hard top would not line up. Do you disconnect the corner hinges and put them back in whole, use a spacer, or what?

Actually, it sure looks like that without the corner hinges there is not going to be enough strength to attach the hard top catchers.

So how in blazes do I disconnect the frame from the hinges? I tried to unscrew the the obvious bolts and they won't budge.

Can't help you there. What I did was have the guy who installed my roll bar weld on a fitting to support the hardtop catchers.
