Some questions on CAI's...
ugotmade has his crankcase venting to the open air through that filter instead of being sent back to the intake. Notice the hole on the passenger side of the intake capped by a red piece of plastic...is this what yours looks like munckee?
I suppose it's possible the guy wanted to relocate his MAP sensor on the tube, for what benefit I have no idea. The most likely explanation, as ugotmade suggested, is a dry nitrous install.

munckee: I just installed an AEM CAI and there were a few vacuum hoses that had to be hooked up but I never had any electrical connections to mess with? Could you post a picture of two things: 1) A close up of this sensor/wireing harness, 2) A fairly close picture of the entire CAI so we can all see the where all the hoses are hooked up to it.
You know what they say, one picture is worth a thousand words.

No sensor for the CAI is needed....are you sure you hooked up all of the vacuum hoses to their correct spots? That will surely throw a CEL. Plug the NOS sprayer hole with something solid that won't fall into the air stream and get sucked into the engine.
Macgyver, I didn't install it, so i really don't know. I'm actually thinking that I'm just going to take it out if I can find someone in austin who can help me put the stock airbox in.
I am actually having the same problem with my check engine light coming on after the AEM CAI intake installation. I figured it was probably a hose that I didnt hook up correctly or something, but i've kinda put it off since my engine didnt explode (yet.) Any suggestions guys?

Another sensor I used to relocate (in my "youth" tinkering with V8s) is the IAT = Intake Air Temperature sensor.
Re-locating this IAT to a "cooler" place fools the ECU to NOT retard timing as aggressively due to engine heat soak/hot intake air. Don't know if this is at all applicable to the S2000, so maybe the NOS theory is most likely...
