All right, all right, I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but I have a CEL on and I have a wiring harness with nothing plugged into it that is sitting in a blatantly obvious spot. I'm going to drop this until I get back to austin and can shoot a couple of pics with my digicam to show you I'm not insane.

Anyway, there is something else plugged into the top/front/driver's side hole in the engine cover. I guess it comes down to the fact that I need someone who knows what the heck everything is to come and take a look and show me so that I know what the heck everything is.

I'll try resetting the ECU this afternoon when I install my radar detector.

The only thing I can think of that has an electrical connection is the air solenoid that AEM suggests attaching to the bracket that hangs under the top portion of the intake.

Like I said, I'll get pics taken this weekend and post again once I have them.

Could be the wiring harness is for the NOS system that was removed. I'm really leaning toward that being the reason for the "extra" hole and the harness.

Ok, I have a couple of pics now. I don't know how to post them here, but I'll try so bear with me. In the meantime, the URL for the pic is:

Ok, I can't seem to get the picture inserted so I'll just ask my questions here based on the link above. The pic shows a decent close up of my CAI. As you can see, just above the point of the "A" is a hole that has been taped over. The seller who drilled the hole told me that this is where he intended to "mount" the IAT sensor. Just below the "A" is the empty wiring harness that is where he told me the IAT sensor is supposed to plug in. Whats the deal?

Next question, as you can see, there is already a hose coming from the point on my engine cover that someone mentioned to plug the CAI into, and there is an empty plug spot on the CAI (hard to see because there is electrical tape on it and it blends into the belt behind it). Again, whats the deal?

Don't know if it will help, but here is another pic of the engine bay:

Thanks for your help and your patience with this!!!

Munckee, You have two problems that I can see. First you need to get a small length of hose to run from the valve cover to the taped up hole in the AEM cai, the problem that you already mentioned. Pull the metal line and hose off and replace it with a new hose.

The second problem is that you are missing a sensor that was mounted to the old airbox ass'y. I don't have a Helm's manual, so I'm not sure what is missing, but mine has a couple of vacuum lines going to it as well as the connector. Maybe someone with a Helm's manual can tell you what you are missing? It could be the air solenoid that MacGyver mentioned.

I believe it is the Intake Air temp sensor; I have one or order that should be here shortly. If someone could tell me what hoses should go where, that would be fantastic!!

Munckee, Here is a poor quality picture of the missing "sensor". It seems to be the air control solenoid that MacGyver was referring to. I believe that you can get your questions answered by going to this site: Majestic Honda

The link is to the missing solenoid, but if you look around, you will find the information that you need. The solenoid is in the center (vertically) and in the right third of this picture. (Hint, click on the blue link to get to the menu for more drawings, then click on the System/Component drop down box.)

Ok, I'm still confused and I can't see the picture well enough to really gain much from it. I have an Intake Air Temp sensor on order from majestic right now as thats what I was told by the seller was missing. Its sounding again like I'll have to meet up with a local owner who knows about this to take a peek for me.
