Somethings wrong
Hey guys i need some help from my fellow s2kers..when i'm making a really sharp turn i hear this very LOUD clicking/clunking noise can you help me narrow it down to what the problem is? Thank's a lot
Where is this noise coming from?
Front or rear?
Is the noise there left turn or right turn or both?
(not at the same time obviously
)
At what speed?
Is the noise there on or off the trottle during those turns?
Is your car lowered?
If so, how low and what wheels (offsets?) / tires do you have on the car?
Lots of questions than need answering before anyone can even try to help you.
Put down as much info as you can, irrelevant or not.
(for instance: what music were you listening to?)
Serious, "we" need more input.

it's lowered on springs about 1 inch drop with stock s02's. I've only heard it when i make a hard right turn going about 30..but i haven't tested more speeds..it's coming from the rear driver side..it'll make the sound when i throttle it..i'll look more into it..sorry

If it is just around corners..
It could be the differential.
Then the sound should be coming from the middle, between the rear wheels.
It could be (pitted) CV's.
(noise during acceleration, I guess then also driving straight.)
Also, you are lowered and that changes the angle they work on and it may be changed "out of spec".
Did you use the spacers? (IIRC they go between the half shafts and the (diff) output shafts to restore the original angle)
Long shot : wheel bearing.
(May be caused by (lack of) axle nut torque)
Axle nut should be torqued to 220 lbsfeet per second squared per pound (or whatever strange value you Americans use
but I know the number is correct)
Btw.. my service manual states 245Nm
If I have made an complete A** of myself then I will be corrected.
Let us know what you find / think of.
