SOS Stage 2 vs tuner kit
I have a 00’ AP1 and am looking into getting it supercharger. I have decided on Science of Speed. I’ve been reading that the optional Novi 1200 is worth it however they no longer offer it as an upgrade on their stage 2 kit.
For daily driving is it worth while to go with the tuner kit for the Novi 1200 or will the 1220 suffice ?
correct me if I am wrong but the added power will require race gas or E85 when moving up over 9 PSI. Car won’t be tracked.

Get the tuner kit with the 1200. Run a pulley size that meets your modest power goals. Get a safe, conservative tune that works well on street. Good manners, good idle, reasonable power.
So many advantages to going this way.
You get the much more reliable 1200.
You have a lot of room to grow and an easy upgrade path if you ever want more power.
Cost effective.

Thanks for the advice.
two more questions. Do I have to add engine management for the tuner kit ? I see the stage 2 comes with that.
when selecting the tuner kit it looks like it comes with everything stage 2 does minus engine management. Correct me if I’m wrong.
what would a good pulley size be for mostly short drives with 50/50 highway, city driving.

You should get a tuner and set up goals the Stage 2 kit come with injectors; fuel pump and ECU
You would want to make sure your tuner knows AEM v2 or wants something else
I would get a wallbro hellcat 525 pump and ID 1300 for pump or E85 and upgrade the wiring kit from SOS you can source this cheaper to go with the tuner kit
it's a bit cheaper to go custom find out your goals

Definitely need engine management. The 1200 is worth it, and with a good tune a 3.4" or 3.2" won't be a problem with a stock engine. 9psi with a tune is SUPER conservative.
If you call Science of Speed and let them know what you would like as far as power goals and such they will let you know what you need. Do keep in mind though that they will be very conservative when talking with you about what your car can handle because they back up their products - I think they told me like 350whp on the stock block and I was making considerably more than that with their tuner kit without issue.
