Default Spark plug tube seals

I think I done goofed these seals. I replaced them when I did my valve spring retainers. On #1 - #3 they're loose ontop of the tube. I can move them around with my fingers. On #4 the tube sticks up through the seal, I assume, correctly.
Should I just stretch them out around the tubes? Any way to tell if they're damaged?

Added a second pic. I don't remember how these sit in the valve cover, but I think they were a tight fit.

You should take the valve cover off and see if you can reseat the spark plug seals. You should need a rubber mallet to seat these correctly as they should not sit above the metal lip they sit in. You want to seat them so that the inner lip is pointing upwards like so |\/ \/|

I'll have a DIY video for this in a week or two..

Remove the valve cover and reseat all the seals. Make sure they're pressed evenly with the appropriate gap per the manual. Also, looks like you installed and valve cover, seals and all the bolts. The misaligned seals are now pinched and may have gotten damaged/torn. I'd replace those two seals that were pinched.

The seals are supposed to sit on the outside perimeter of the spark plug "tube". When installing the valve cover, I usually oil my finger and run it around the tubes to make sure the seals pop on the outside and sit properly.

looks like the one in the first picture is "tented" up, and hung up on the top of the tube. The tubes are quite sharp and can cut the seals if you don't get them rolled over the edge. As mentioned above a tiny bit of oil helps with that.

Looks like some of the others fell out of place when you flipped over the valvecover for the installation. They need to be installed tightly in place, as mentioned above a rubber mallet works best for that. Then lube the surfaces lightly and install the valvecover gently and coax over any seal that gets hung up on the tubes with your finger before you go to fully tighten it down.

I think they fell out of the seats in the valve cover. 1 - 3 are like the second photo I posted. Easily moved around. Surprising considering how much effort was required to get them into their seats.
I was about to order injector rings so I'll add some more of these to the order. I hate having to pull the valve cover off. I'm sure I'll damage that seal too.

Chances are they are in good condition, they are designed to be re-used many times over. Remove the cover and examine them before you spend more money on alternates. The main seal on the valvecover is almost impossible to damage, no worries there.

here is nearby link discussing proper seal seating and orientation. It's pretty intuitive once you think about the proper orientation as you slowly work the seal over the tube seal.

Surprised you didn't get oil in your spark plug tubes.
