Default speed bleeders and Motive power bleeder

After reading through some of the previous threads on one-man bleeding solutions, I think I will end up getting both speed bleeders and Motive's power bleeder.

speed bleeders: does anyone know which size fits our cars?

Motive's power bleeder: they sell a universal kit and an international kit. By their definitions, they both sound like they'll work on the S2000 but the universal kit is about 10$ cheaper. Any thoughts from people who own Motives power bleeder?

[ With all due respect, why would you use both speed bleeders and a pressure bleeder?]

A recommendation from another member. Use the pressure bleeder at home. Use the speed bleeders at the track (don't have to bring your pressure bleeder with you).

[FYI, I had two speed bleeders fail on me at the track. So, now I have had two full sets sitting in an old parts box for about four years.]

If speed bleeders have failed you in the past, what do you use currently?

My search for a one-man solution resulted from a couple of late night bleeds with no one around to help.

Speedbleeders and the pump are not compatable... use one or the other.

I bought the Motive and never got it to seal properly. I ended having it done with my lady. Bonding time.

How did your speedbleeders fail you? I'm just curious...

I've been using the same set of speed bleeders for the past 3-4 years with no problems. My Prelude hits the track 6-7 times a year on the track.

BTW, the part number is SB10125 for the brake bleeder.

If they are screwed in all of the way, the compound doesn't matter. It only matters while you have them loosened and you are bleeding with them. Otherwise they close off just like regular OEM units. I have heard this claim of leaking at the track before, but never really understood how that could be possible unless they backed out or were left backed out after bleeding with them.

I did have a little trouble with the sealant on the Speed-bleeders after a lot of use so I switched to Earls Solo-bleeders and have had no problem.

Do keep in mind that these bleeders is a spring loaded valve so that pressure bleeders like Motive are not compatible.

Use a plastic one way valve, that you find at the pet store, auarium section. And some clear plastic tubing from the hardware store.
