I drive it likely once a week.

But this could explain things. If the car sat for a while between before the clutch job and now, and it was coldish during any of that time, and especially if car has summer tires.

And also if since clutch, car hasn't been driven for a long enough distance in warm enough weather.
Pre and Post clutch job - the car been through a tank of gas on the highway already. I live in San Francisco so we aren't super super cold.

You called it. My friend discovered the driveshaft was put back on backwards. Flipped it back and the car is flawless again.

Thanks everyone for you input!

Draw directional arrow before removal.

Also draw alignment marks on each end. A line that spans propshaft to mating flange. So it can be put back exactly how it was.

If you suspect yours is already backwards, swap it around, see if things get better.

I might be wrong since I've never fully removed my or any other S2K driveshaft when doing clutch changes but the tail shaft of the gearbox and that end of the driveshaft have indents that mate perfectly when aligned. Almost like a magnet. Someone else can chime in to confirm if there are markings on the shaft itself to show which side goes where.
