I've just got the Spoon N1 cat-back exhaust. I haven't installed it so was just wondering what is the difference of having the silencer on or off. Things like sound, fuel economy, performance difference? Thanks.

 

I run the silencer on the street, and I think it makes a BIG difference. The silencer is still a bit louder than stock though.
I can't tell if there's a performance drop with it on, but then again, I've only had the exhaust on for about a week.

 

Driving around w/ the silencer in will kill VTEC - you might as well forget about it.

The silencer is meant to be quiet so you can "put" around town.
