I have a 1-1 code on MY03. I took the steering wheel off a week ago to put a new leather cover on it that needed to be stitched over the steering wheel. Ever since I have had the SRS light. I have reset the yellow clip underneath the drivers dash like 3 times and I get the two blinks from the SRS light that tell me I did it right but the SRS comes back on. I took the airbag out again and looked at the airbag contacts and everything looks okay. I did not mess with the cable reel. It was not damaged or rotated during steering wheel removal or reinstall. Horn works and Cruise control works. Does anyone know why the light would come on only after removing the airbag? The car has not been wrecked. Original airbags. I can't figure out what the problem is. Any help would be really appreciated!
