Default SRS reset not working...

I replaced all airbags and seatbelts in the car, and the SRS module, did the SRS reset with the Honda jumper tool and instead of blinking twice to signal a reset it just blinks once. When I start the car the light doesn't turn off. Could I have bought a bad SRS module? Or is it possibly the clock spring I didn't replace(idk why that would need replacing).

Thanks in advance

Should not be anything with your clock spring it does not need to be replaced after airbags have gone off.

I know when I have reset them if you do the complete it in the 4 seconds it gives you it will not reset.. You can not do one step and then read the next step it takes to long. unless you know what the next step is are have a second person telling you as your doing it. It took me a few times before it reset.

If you have the honda jumper tool, cut off the locking tab so you can work fast (this way you dont need to press the release button and possibly fall out of the 4 second window)

SRS jump lead is a yellow connector with two green wires, plugged into the fuse block.

key off, plug in jumper.

key on.

The light will go on, then off. the second the light goes off, pull the jumper.

the second the light comes back on, reconnect jumper.

The second the light goes off, pull the jumper.

wait for two flashes.

Tried it about 5 times. It won't reset, and this is not the first time I've reset one either which is probably worth mentioning. If it cannot be the clock spring that would put it on the SRS module, correct?

Clockspring is only a connection to the airbag, it has no component in itself that would cause issue. It would simply set a code for drivers airbag circuit open.

If you DID have a broken clockspring, it would set a code. It would also be able to be reset, then it would just re-code seconds after the reset.

I would try a code extraction and look for faulty airbag module codes.

Is the module used? Are you 100% sure it has not been fired?
