Stacked stock head gaskets to lower compression?
This sounds like an odd question but I am curious if anyone has done it.
Don't post to recommend Cometic or another solid gasket... I am not asking about that.
My thinking is that MLM/stock gaskets seal incredibly well, but I am not so sure how they will seal mated face-to-face as opposed to a flat Al surface. I am not certain if the dowels will be enough to keep things aligned well and sealed.
Any experience out there?

You'd need like 15 or 20 of them to equal the thickness of one C company's (unmentionable due to posted conditions) head gasket. I imagine the embossments on the top and bottom layers of the stock head gasket would interfere with each other. I recommend the C company's head gasket for what you're trying to achieve as they are designed just like stock with 3 layers, and the same embossments.....

Good thought, I had not bothered to check the alignment of top and bottom embossments with each other. I have a stock gasket that is trashed and will do that.
I am not looking for a 2 point reduction... I have not done the math yet but thickness may very well be the deciding issue here.

marcucci already knows I have no experience with this, but I'm curious to know why the embossments would be a problem. It seems that as long as the embossments were identical, they would just stack together like spoons.
