Hoping someone on here can help with my cars rather strange reaction every time its serviced


This problem only happens after the car is serviced ,it will run fine and sit at tick over point most of the time, but when how shall I put it I go for a more spirited drive ,the car always stalls when I come to a stop ie at a T junction .Honda have had the car back every time this happens only to say that no fault shows up and that they have reset the ECU which seems to cure the fault until the next service and so the cycle begins again


Saying this tonight it has stalled on me after the ECU reset


So people any ideas because although its only a nagging fault its starting to grate after 27k miles

 

What modifications have you had done to your car? Mine stalls now every time I start it up then I have to restart and wait for the ECU to adjust until its ok again.

I'm thinking I either have a bad O2 sensor or my ECU is resetting every time I start.

Maybe the ECU on yours is not retaining its memory. Just a guess though.

All ideas are welcome on board as the mechanic at the local dealer has run out of ideas

 

Try a known "good" MAP sensor and look into the Honda TSB on the new MAP securing system. Also, investigate the Idle Air Control mechanism. Routine stuff like checking plugs, air filter, throttle cable slack, etc are always good as well.
