Crap. Idle has gone down as low as 12 psi now. Regular driving psi has stayed about the same though. Oil level is perfect, oil psi gauge is tight and everything. Nothing was changed there.
If the oil jet bolts somehow are not in perfectly would that cause this?
They were torqued to 12 ft lbs which is what I read they should torqued to.

I have metric gauges installed (SAE is useless and the S2K is not a Dodge or a Chevy )

I read about 3 Bar at idle and past 3-4K RPM it goes to 6-7 Bar.
When VTEC enages, pressure drops about 0.5 Bar

that sounds right for a stock oem s2000, do you have the upgraded bolts ?.

installation would not affect the readings IMO. There isn't much you could do wrong on the install.

Oil pressure spec is 36 psi at idle minimum, at 3000 rpms it is 85 psi minimum.

Hmm so no idea why it is so damn low then. Was 25 when I first got the gauge in. 3k rpm's I am probably at around 70-75 psi.
Maybe the oil pressure sender is bad or something.

I also forgot I put different oil in the car at the same time as swapping the oil jet bolts.
Switched from Mobil 1 fully synthetic to Valvoline fully synthetic oils. tic. Both 10W30.

Oil pressure got as low as 11 psi for quick second. Stays around 14-15 psi it looks like at idle now.
Cruising at 3k is around 70 psi now. Highest with regular driving it goes to is 80.

I recently installed a Vortech V3 Supercharger into my S and had the upgraded oil jet bolts done.

I have an AP1 with 135k miles when the oil jet bolts went in and 139k miles when the supercharger went in. Using the AEM Oil Pressure Gauge.

At idle, my Oil Pressure bounces around 20 to 25 psi.
Crusing it's around 70 to 80 psi.
At WOT i'm around 90 to 95ish psi.

So your numbers are pretty close to mine. I was using Mobile 1 Highmileage 10w-30 and switched to Mobile 1 EP 10w-30. So far I don't have any problems yet other than noticing the Mobile 1 EP 10w-30 burning quick so gonna switch back to 10w-30 Highmileage or Amsoil 10w-30.

Also, keep an eye out around your VTEC solenoid i started to notice a small leak coming out of the sensor plug area. I replaced the O-ring and still had the small leak then Hondabond the thread area for the lugnut and still getting the small leak there. Gonna replace the whole VTEC solenoid and see what happens but other than that everything with the oil seems fine.

Ok nice. Yeah the cruising psi seems to be about the same. My idle just get's really low once fully warmed up. Drops down to 11 psi. Before the oil jet bolt was at lowest 20 psi to closer to 30 psi.

Just now did a couple WOT pulls. Once it goes into vtec the oil pressure drops to 60's quickly then back up to 70' 80 to 90's.
Is that normal for the oil pressure to dip like that?

well I'm almost positive that if you did an oil pressure test the way Honda does it at the block the tester will read a good bit higher than the way you are reading it in your car. Probably nothing to worry about when you factor in the testing difference and margin of error on the gauge you have.

Throw in some 5w-40 visc. oil and see how you like it, I love running it in my car, I use Amsoil but there are others out there. I'm sure you will net a few extra psi pressure out of it compared to 30 weights.

Ok might try that out. What's the negative with that weight oil? Not really familiar with oil differences. I'm moving back up to ny where it is cold if that matters.
