Default Start Button Back-Light

I noticed last night that the "Engine Start" text is no longer lighting up on my starter button. Anyone know how to change the bulb in that thing? I couldn't find anything in the Helm manuals. Any suggestions?

It is suppose to light up right? Are was I hallucinating?

BTW: I checked all the fuses and all the other dash control lights are working.

Thanks,
Ken

you have to pop off the dash panel and then the start button unscrews from the radio control/button panel assy.

wrap tape around the end of a flathead screwdriver and just pry the dash off of the vinyl. it just pops out. to remove fully you have to take off the steering wheel and also unscrew the two screws under the caps in front of the dash display. kinda a pain to get at the start button...

Hey Ken,

you're not dreaming, it does light up (when the running/headlights are on).

I'm afraid I don't have any help on how-to; you might find something useful in the thread where someone replaced the left-side dash controls with a Sony joystick. (In the Electronics forum, BassMan I think).

Damn. Looks like a big job for something so minor as a small bulb. If that's even the problem with it.

Thanks Again!
