Arrow How to change dash lights

Call me crazy but I remember my engine start button being backlit, can someone please tell me how to take apart the dash where we have the engine start button, similarly where we have the climate controls... so I can replace the bulbs?

I did a 30 min search, and at approx page 5 of "Electronics" I gave up.

Thanks

Mine is not lit. Mine is painted white inside the "start" lettering, and solid red around it... You might want to re-paint the lettering, though with a pin-striping brush.

Well, one of my main concerns is solved there, but for future reference, how would you remove the dash parts to change the bulbs?

you need to drop the steering column, then pull the little trim bezel off (you can start to pop it off under the AC / radio control area and work around from there), then pop the AC / Radio control units out from the back side. I think there is a screw or two holding them in place...

This is all of the top of my head (did this a few months back to replace a burnt out AC bulb). If you really want to know the in depth details, I have my repair manual at my parent's house I can check for ya.

Well, where's a good place to buy the repair manual... (it'll save you the trouble too). Thanks

I believe Auto Zone has the Helms brand manuals....might need to be ordered, and they are usually close to $100. Found mine for free online .

Go on ebay, and pay the $5.00 to get the CD copy.
