Default Start Up Problems

I have a 2007 S2000 with about 3000 miles and whenever I start it up from long periods of time, it starts up fine. But whenever I start it and then turn it off and start it again anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours, it hesitates to start. For example, I would hold down the start button for a few seconds and it would crank, and at the same time, it would hesitate, and sound like it wants to die or stall. And sometimes it would barely just crank and barely start like the start up would be so soft compared to the usually thump when you turn on the engine. Do you guys know what's wrong and if I should take it back to the dealership?

Well it wouldn't cost you anything to have the dealership fix it.

Alright since I'm not the only one noticing this problem, I guess it's normal and I shouldn't worry about it.

Hold the throttle down a bit (say 25%) on a hot start. ECU sees the throttle position and automatically leans out the air/fuel mix condition under hot start. It should light up easier. If this doesn't work, try 50% throttle next time, and so forth. The second the motor catches and turns on its own, foot off gas & finger off start button!

This is correct, just help it out with the gas a little for hot starts.

Could be defective battery. The engine is harder to crank when it's hot. I would have the dealer check the battery for sure.
