Default Start wire keeps falling off stud

I went to start the car this morning, it would just tick. Looked at the started and the smaller wire that connects to the starter, assuming its the positive? Installed it back, worked, started. Went to the station, wouldn't work. Managed to get a push start :/ how can I secure that on there?

There are two wires connecting to the starter. One is held on by a bolt...similar to grounding wires you see all around the car.

The other is a flat connector on the starter and a flat female end from the car with curled edges. Here is the best picture I could find of what the female end looks like (removed the picture and put a link instead): http://www.carpartsdiscount.com/auto...ml?3593=120905

This picture is not from an S2000, but it was hard for me to describe what it looks like, so I thought a picture would do a better job.

It is very hard to get these two to match up because of the awkward position of the starter, and the fact you can't see what you're doing. It's also very easy to think that you've threaded them, but in reality you've only threaded the rubber seal around the connector (which will still make a connection) and not the actual female end.

Good luck and hope this helps.

Yes, this is what I am talking about. Idk why it keeps falling. Cars lowered, and bumps knock it off? I wish I could use like... loctite lol idk. It keeps falling off!

Ok. This was exactly my issue. I got under the car and figgled with it until I "thought" it was secure. No. I ended up removing the intake and alternator and had clear access to it. When it goes on, its ON. I had a haaard time to take it back off. Fixed for sure.

No. It wasn't clamped on.
