Starting Problems

That's a TDC sensor, Either TDC 1 or 2, can't really tell fom the pic. Glad it's fixed

Sounds unusual, I'll be surprised if that really fixes it.

If cranking the engine allowed the sensor to bounce around maybe it could generate a false signal and cause the problem, but why would it not be a problem when running?

The Knock sensor is not located in the Valve cover, it is located under the intake manifold. Sorry Modifry, It's not a Knock sensor.


The TDC/CMP sensors are used to determine where the camshafts are in relation, and what cylinder is at TDC. If you have a loose connection, You would also most likely get a DTC, but intermitent electrical connections don't always behaive that way.

Well another thing i did was change the valve cover (from chrome back to stock) and must have forgotten to tighten that one back down
