Default VAFC Problem? Car keeps stalling when cold!!! HELP

I just installed my vafc with the plug and play harness, when I go to drive the car after sitting acoupe hours the car will start fine and I'll get about 100 feet and the check engine comes on and the car starts to buck and then stalls (feels like its running out of gas). I then started it again and it will be fine for 5 seconds and then start bucking again. After about 3 or 4 trys starting it I'll rev it up and then it will be fine for the rest of the day. Anyone ever heard of this. Also I did buy this unit from another member and I did not program it yet.

are you letting your car warm up before you start driving? i wait til mine is at least settled down to 1500 rpm idle.

i did notice that when i first start it up, it likes to die once, and then it's fine. if i give it a little gas, it's fine. it seemed this started happening about the same time that i installed my VAFC, but that could just be coincidence.

There have been reported cases of bad harnesses.

I encountered the same problem some time back and it was attributed to faulty wiring on the MAP sensor wire. After fixing the pin in the harness everything was fine. I isolated the problem with the help of my obdII scanner since the CEL was triggered.
